As with many things Apple, the standard, is there is no standard. <G>  
The 9.2.0 Install CD that came with the daughter's 350 iMac slot load 
is certainly specific to the iMac. It won't install on any other Mac or 
Mac clone around here.

The 9.2.1 retail  CD I have will install on everything here. The Jaguar 
10.2.0 install disc's that came with my Dual 867 MDD wont work on her 
iMac, however, the retail version of Jaguar worked just fine.
