Hi Grateful, eMacers:

A high pitched whine doesn't sound like a good thing to me. Has it
always sounded like that? You can barely hear my iMac's hard drive
over the sound of the fan and it's more of a tickity-tickity sound
than a whine. Since, the CD-RW drive is no longer available I won't
have that choice, although I think I'd like it as it's faster than
either the combo or super drive. With the current choices I'll
probably go with the combo as I don't think I really have a use for
the DVD burning abilities of the super drive.
