Well, I must have one of the UMAX scanners that it doesn't work with, the
3450.  It won't scan all the way to the bottom.  It scans 2/3 of the way
down, and the bottom 1/3 is blank - yet the scan mechanism does actually
scan all the way down.  It's ok if you only scan photos, or anything that
fits within the top 2/3, but not with regular 8.5 X 11 documents.  Doesn't
seem to matter what settings I fiddle with, either.  I'll just have to live
with scanning in Classic - I don't use it enough to justify buying a new one
just to use with OS X.  It seems that it doesn't work with most of the more
commonly used scanners in existence, so I wouldn't exactly call VueScan
"excellent".
