Is it possible to boot a bondi iMac (Rev A), from an external USB CD drive?
It seems the CD ROM drive on my bondi has now gone bad (this mac is cursed, it was supposed to be a simple present for my brother, and I've now wasted a week chasing problems thru it). I have an external USB CD-RW drive (Sony Supressa), but it doesn't seem to want to boot from that drive (I need to repartition the hard drive so I need to boot from another device). Is this even possible, and if so, is there some trick to getting it to work? -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
