I have picked up a new quiet 7200 RPM Western Digital 120 Gig HD /8 MB Cache to put into it.

I used this same replacement drive (although my original HD was only 13GB).

How can I move her files from the 30 gig (two 15 gig partitions, OSX 10.2.8 & OS9.1) onto the new HD (two 60 gig partitions) without having to re-install the operating systems ? I have no shortage of hardware to work with including an external FireWire hard drive case.

Just put the new WD into the FireWire case and use Carbon Copy Cloner; however, I would suggest that you _not_ partition the new drive; if you insist on partitioning, do not make the OS9 part 60GB -- IMHO, that OS is history and you likely will not need more space than it now occupies. (Also, I think you should be using 9.2.2 for Classic apps.)

Boot from that external drive to verify that all is well, then just swap the two drives; you will have your original drive as a backup, and later you can reformat that 30-gigger for other purposes
