Thanks, but I know all that. The original topic months ago was me trying to find alternatives to hot corners, which I tend to activate by accident regardless of the setting.
In that case, have you tried allowing the Power button to sleep the computer?
I am not interested in putting my computer to sleep (this terminates all active connections and disables sharing), just locking the display to prevent other people eavesdropping or even playing with the machine. I am working in a pretty open environment.
