I think replacement toner may be a slightly different kettle of fish. I just had a look at http://TonerRefillKits.com/. They seem extremely confident that their product will perform like the original and cannot do any damage. They've got a nice Toner FAQ. They spell out what we all know - that the manufacturers make their money on the consumables. They can also supply a toolkit for making a hole in the toner cartridge. But with the Samsung ML1750 series, there's no need for doing even that - there's a plug you just remove! I've also had a look at current ML1755 prices. In general they are a lot higher than I paid. But I got mine on a promotional offer. I get the impression that if you keep your eyes open, these come round fairly offten. The same was true of the Samsung color laser printer.
