Reverse gears. Take it back apart, and go back over everything you did. 
Make sure all your connections are tight.

Also, make sure the logic board cage is installed correctly. They are 
very easy to misalign on that model, and that can cause the CD tray face 
plate to get hung against the front plastics, as well as put pressure on 
the power button (which can cause all sorts of odd behavior as the mac 
things the button is constantly being pressed and/or randomly being 
pressed.
