Hi, I hate to open with asking for help with a problem, but... I didn't know I was going to have one until about 5 minutes ago.
I purchased a used iMac G3 233 (I think Rev. A) for my daughter, all was well, until we did a stupid thing. Thinking we could put our existing wireless card into the iMac (I know, I know....*sigh*) we opened it up. Honestly we didn't mess with anything, just looked, put it all back together and... nothing. The light powers on to amber, but the screen is black and it seems that the keyboard and mouse are not working at all (there is no light on the optical mouse). We can not get the CD slot to open either. We are sure we put everything back just the way we found it. We were very careful to make not of what went where... and there's only 4 connections! We are sick about it - not out much money, but my daughter is very upset that we killed her day old (to her) computer! This is our first experience with any Mac at all. And while proficient in Windows.... I feel lost with this little iMac. Can anyone help us to get this computer back? or should we just look for another iMac? :-( Thanks, ----- Trish -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
