I'm not at my Mac mini currently, but if I remember correctly in
utilities when you click on the bluetooth you can change the
transmission to encrypted so all transmissions from the keyboard are
encrypted. Is it secure? In my opinion no. Using the correct Linux
bluetooth sniffer you should be able to decode the key in less then an
hour. Check 2600 on that, I think someone published how, or maybe it
was at http://packetstormsecurity.org/. Do I use bluetooth? Yes, since
it's very convenient and I don't type all that much. Still even a
regular keyboard can be read from a distance if some one has the right
micro radiation reading hardware.http://packetstormsecurity.org
Note: I see someone already responded to this while I was writing. You
need to turn on the encryption for the Apple keyboard. It's not on my
default.
