That drive is one that I have been considering. How have you found
it to be in terms of ease of set, reliability, general use, etc? Do
you know if it can be partitioned?

Well, after some initial setup issues, it has been fine. I think I
may have discovered a bug in Apple's IP-over-Firewire configuration -
I never tracked down what caused the oddity I was seeing.
Specifically, my drive would occasionally not be recognized, so I had
to flash its ROM several times. After that initial strangeness, it
has been smooth sailing. I'd still recommend LaCie drives.
