Apple has instructions in their KB on how to accomplish resetting the  
firmware password: it involves removing (or adding) one memory DIMM  
and then resetting the PRAM (command-option-p-r) 3 times. This works,  
iirc, in any Mac that supports an OF password, regardless of the OS.
