Well, first of all, the wireless dongles wirk just fine on USB 1.1. I've used one on my TiBook without issues. Secondly, just get an Airport card for the thing. Adding an airport to one of the lampshade models is pretty easy, just pop the big metal cover off the bottom and the airport slot is right there.
