After being abused by Epson Printers for more than a decade, I switched to
Canon and bought their top of the line MG8220 all-in-one a little over a
year ago. It does all you are asking for, with ZERO hassle. I could not be
happier.

Of course, Canon discontinued it. You can still find them on Amazon for
close to their original $299 list price.

The best they currently offer, the MG7520, lists for 2/3 of that, and sells
for half what the MG8220 is still selling for. Is it just as good? Reviews
are very favorable.

What the current model gives away is the ability to scan film (negatives and
slide), and it uses an inferior CIS rather than a CCD scanning element.

You would have to decide whether these premium features matter to you.
