I really like my HP Photosmart 6510; I can even scan to my Macs over the wifi 
connection. I’ve had it for a couple of years now with no issues at all.

I think their current iteration of the model is this one

 I got mine at Costco on sale for $119 iirc; it uses separate color cartridges 
and Costco refills those cheaply as well. $10 per refill.

It does AirPrint well, automatic double-sided on 8.5x11 paper. It will print 
8.5x14 (although it’s not advertised to) but only one-sided.
