Oh dear...spoke too soon :-(

Display went haywire for a few seconds last night and then the iMac shut down. I managed to get the power button to light up once more (after unplugging for 10 minutes) but it immediately switched off.

PRAM battery is 3.55V. I also tried a PRAM reset using the button on the logic board...nothing.

I'm going to extract the drive and move it to the PowerMac, then investigate further. Fearing the worst.
