AFAIK, the change took place with version 1.53g (4 December 2020) and I
must admit that I don't fully understand the function of the now missing
option that was described as:
"This option allows plugins and macros to recreate particle outlines
using the doWand(x,y) macro function. The CircularParticles macro
demonstrates how to use this feature."
