I've had performance problems when accounts with large mailboxes perform a search.  It 
will often cause my two-processor server to hit a steady 50% processor usage for 
several minutes.  I've disabled searches, and now do not have that problem.  Since 
I've disabled searches I've also not had the process stop like it used to every so 
often.
