Mary,
That's part client-related, and part server-related. The client-side stuff
is the JavaScript in the parent frame loading the menu system into objects;
the faster the client, the faster that happens. Number of folders also makes
a difference. The server-side stuff is mostly due to authentication... one
admin here reported his frameset loads dropped from 8-10 seconds to I think
2-3 seconds after updating his MDACs (he was running SQL7 as an external
database).
