On a windows 2000 box I was seeing the
same problem, so I set up an AT command to stop and restart the Iwebmsg service
twice everyday at 0600 and 2400. It
only interrupts the service for a nanosecond at off peak times, but I don't
have to worry about monitoring it for the stop. It may not be right, but at least it
works. Respectfully, Scott D Wilson EOC (Ret) -----Original Message----- From what I understand, Ipswitch has acknowledged problems in Imail
7.05 where the web interface stops opening attachments. It works for a while, then stops. The only cure so far is to restart the
Imail Web Messaging service. This is a big problem since it now seems to happen every few days
and we have to monitor carefully to determine when to restart services. The phone tech at Ipswitch told me he
heard this problem from a large number of users on 7.05. The only suggestion from Ipswitch has been to manipulate the
browser.cap file. But that
doesn't seem to fix it, nor is that an acceptable solution, since the
problem is sporadic. We have been on Imail for years using the web interface, but only
started seeing this problem when we moved to 7.05 a few weeks ago. I think it's a problem in the code
that Ipswitch needs to own up to and FIX!
Does anybody have any ideas, observations, or suggestions? |
