Well odbc does stink :),  but the dll is avail.  I mail just used it too
much.  Server request per msg per user. Is not necessary.

I wouldn't want Ipswitch to build it in.  Probably wouldn't work right
:P

But a separate service is idea

Yes,  but  you're  using  an  open  back  end that you can update from
anywhere.  How  exactly  would  you propose that the caching mechanism
operate?  (Not  that  there  aren't  situations  in  which it would be
practical, but these aren't compelling enough to have it be a built-in
feature,  I  think.)  What  would  help  immensely  is  if the daemons
actually  used  OLEDB instead of ODBC, since it's so much faster. That
would help everyone.
