Hi Andy -
Here are my suggestions:
1. Setup MX records for both zones that point to one hostname.
2. Make sure that hostname is associated directly with an IP address
using an A record, NOT a CName!
3. Make sure reverse dns (ptr record) is correct for that one
hostname.
4. Make sure Imail will receive, and deliver as local, mail for
both domains.
Step 2 is extremely important for Mail, and DNS servers.
It is amazing how many people skip step 3. IMHO all servers should have
reverse DNS set correctly, including web, mail, pop3, etc.
I am seeing more and more NT mail servers that are configured to block
mail from an SMTP server that does not have reverse DNS.
