In response to Mr. Fritts message (see below) I would answer this:
I'm known to be "a very annoying person" when testing new software...
I also know lot of programmers who "like me for the ability I seem to have
to see many little annoying things in a glance" in their brand-new products.
So they can fox those asap.
I also know some programmers who do not like me ;-)
Because they seem to think "the customers expects too much".
Let me give an example of how things with "programming and the people who
dop it" seem to work, IMHO:
A programmer can be over-stressed when fiddling around with numbers /
fields / records presenting days, weeks, months, years for example.
He's great in discovering the relationships and "what one can do with those".
But in the end he is creating.... a calendar !
And "we, customers", have an idea about what a "calendar" is, what it
should do and "how to operate" it.
But sometimes the programmer looses track and forgets that what he's
building is a calendar....
Do I make myself clear ?
:-)
And Mr. Fritts also says
"If there are problems in this or subsequent releases of Imail I have a lot
of confidence that the programmers at IPSWITCH will fix them."
IMHO (again),many of the problems should have been seen by the developers
BEFORE releasing the product.

I am running 6.01 but using an external database. I don't see that
condition in my Imail administrator. I added a user just to see and for me
it seems to be working just fine.
I am a programmer. I could have written my own mail server program but I
could not have done it as well or as cheaply as IMAIL. My opinion is that
IMAiL is pretty solid software and it is easier to administer and make
productive that any other email server I've worked on. 6.01 includes huge
changes to the administration suite of programs. These are usually the most
difficult pieces of code to write and because of the huge number of options
almost impossible to completely test under every circumstance. That is
especially true with the proliferating number of operating systems and
collateral services.
If there are problems in this or subsequent releases of Imail I have a lot
of confidence that the programmers at IPSWITCH will fix them.
