Everyone should read this entire thread!

First a customer says that his problem is Imail sending mail with the year
100 on it, and has a Y2K compliant version. Then Ipswitch says "it is
compliant". Nothing is addressed about the problem. The customer then
correctly infers "but it's sending mail with they year 100, that's not Y2K
compliant." Ipswitch responds "it's Y2K compliant". Again nothing about
how to SOLVE the problem.

I'm glad I'm not in this position!

#1 If Ipswitch says his version is Y2K compliant it should be. Sending
mail with the year 100 is NOT Y2K compliant. Does Ipswitch need to be sent
the documentation of what Y2K compliance means?

#2 Somebody, probably Ipswitch, needs to HELP this guy! Tell him what he
needs to get it working! I don't know what it would take. Will a 4.07
patch work? Somebody at Ipswitch need to help him. He went so far as to
publicly post his name, phone number and serial number.

It's a shame that a guy who has an obvious Y2K problem is chastised here,
when Ipswitch publicly posted that his version is Y2K compliant. We need to
HELP him, not yell "UPGRADE, UPGRADE, UPGRADE". If an upgrade was required
then Ipswitch should not have posted that his version was Y2K compliant. I
personally upgraded to V6.01 before the end of the year to be safe and I
have had many, many problems. But that's a different story.

Joe
