OK, so there is a problem...  :(

Our primary mail server's spool is very low.  I haven't had any complains
from people about undeliverables?

Holy cow!  The whole concept of a spool is: files get created as mail 
comes in and are deleted as mail goes out.  A spool that "grows" 
means mail isn't going out.  Can you confirm everything is getting
delivered?
