Sorry-clarification. The IMail machine IS ALSO the DNS, WINS, and DHCP
server (and the PDC, but that is an easy one). We're replacing the whole
mess with a new machine, to have the same IP address as before, but it needs
the data, zones, etc. migrated, and I'm having troubles getting that to
happen. I'm not totally clueless, but can be pretty dense sometimes....

Are you DNS master or is it outside?  if you keep the same ip for the new
Imail machine, then DNS records won't have to change at all.

I assume your DNS machine isn't changing ip, so you're DHCP server
shouldn't have to changed either.

In fact, I can't see why moving Imail to new hardware with old ip address
wouldn't be transparent to everything, non?
