Hi Will,

Just successfully set it up last Sunday with a self-signed certificate.  You have to 
stop the IMail web service then create
a certificate using the SSL utility,  configure the IMail service to use
SSL (I use the default port 443 coz I use 80 for the web service) then start IMail web 
service. Viola!!! that's it.
