Hi,
Well, I actually expected this.
Since I believe this is a serious limitation for a powerful environment as IMail is, I
sniffed inside and found something useful for a (near) future release.
I modified by hand my own aliases.txt file on IMail server and added a line like this:
"My List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED],[EMAIL PROTECTED],...>
Such an address (limited to 255 chars, as far as I read in docs) is perfectly
functional in IMail: messages are sent, replied and forwarded. Nevertheless, it is
impossible to add or modify such an address in Address Book management form (i.e.
ab.html file in \IMail\Web directory).
Since I didn't find any script in above form managing address syntax, I assume that
the stuff is performed by "addaddress.<!--IMAIL.Number-->.cgi" form action, which, as
far as I know, is included in Iwebmsg.exe.
Several checks demonstrate that the real issue is that commas are considered as faulty
chars, therefore any address with commas is discarded AND NO MESSAGE OR WARNING IS
DISPLAYED (a slight bug, in my opinion)!
My proposal is: Ipswitch guys, please allow commas in addresses. It should be quite
simple to do it, I believe.
My two cents...
