I had considered the option of using PGP, however it may not be the best
option in this instance. The customer's forms are written in Cold Fusion,
which makes calling the ASPMail control, not possible. Maybe re-phrasing
the question may help. When a end-user connects to a page in secure mode,
they use an SSL certificate from a recognized CA. Is it possible to
implement such a system where an Imail server uses an SSL certificate from a
CA to allow a mail client to securely pop their mail from the server?

I did this by using the ASPMail control from www.serverobjects.com . It
has a method for allowing you to call PGP and encrypt the message before it
leaves the server. 'course you have to teach the user about decrypting
messages. :)
