I have a client that is behind an IBM Enetwork Firewall software package on Windows NT.

Recently, they moved their domain (www.domain.com) from another provider to us.  They can access www.domain.com from us but not their POP3 mailbox (mail.domain.com) - it times out.

My theory is that their firewall software has somehow cached or recorded the previous location of mail.domain.com in some sort of local DNS table or ARP information table.  Therefore, when they request the POP3 mailbox connection from mail.domain.com, it is still referring to the old providers IP address.

Another theory is that something is bunged up on my end (strange considering I have quite a few users that access their virtual host POP3 mailboxes no problem - even behind firewalls).

Any ideas?
