Not to mention that NT Workstation is physically limited to 10 concurrent
TCP/IP connections, there are other performance tuning issues. I remember
the that article as well. Alot of what the guy came up with was trivial
stuff that didn't really pertain to the issues. Sure, you could probably
change your Registry to get some tweaks out of it. But any manual changes
you make to the Registry are dicey. I tend to make as few as I can possibly
get away with.

I remember a big houha in the press back in late 96 or early 97 when
somebody dug into the diff's between the two NT4 versions and came up with
a miniscule difference, a couple of hundred bytes or something, no possible
technical significance. It was also said to be trivial to hack NTW into NTS.
But maybe MS has surreptitiously diverged the two products since then via
service packs.
