to use SMTP Auth on any version of Imail without causing problems with
Netscape?
we use a fully patch ver 5, and since we host domain clients who do not use
our access, we need to use the SMTP Auth method for those users. while it
works fine for awhile, far too often it goes into a funk where for whatever
reason netscape users within our network are asked for a login, and a valid
username/login will still not allow them to receive mail.
adding them as local does not work as many of them use cynamic IP's which
span several networks, and obviously being an open relay is not a solution.
I've read many posts in this forum regarding this, but have not yet read a
satisfactory solution.
