How about a step-by-step detailed example of what is happening?

IE, "I couldn't send mail to the ipswitch test box": Were you sending from an
external address or internal address? Was this from the live IMail server to a test
IMail server? Where were the IPs showing as external? Can you telnet from the IMail
server to an external SMTP server (port 25)? Can you telnet from an external computer
to the IMail server at port 25?

You need to be very specific about what is happening in order to determine what is
going wrong -- none of us think that you should have to use that hack, but if you do,
it would be helpful to know why.
