The references here about security on cable systems are a very good point.
Just out of curiosity, how many of the users on this list scan their users
to detect open/shared resources?  We do this periodically and have helped
our clients close up some dangerous and potentially disastrous security
holes.  Of course there is no substitute for having it done professionally
by an unbiased third party.
