afaics, a standard issue "SMTP client" process just picks the msg out of
the queue and tries to deliver to the local mailbox, just as if it was
trying to it to a remote MTA.
Sporadic, temporary local delivery failures can be caused by the mailbox
being locked by another process, which itself could die and leave the lock
on, giving permanent local delivery failures. But I'm sure you've seen
that behaviour.
I couldn't find anythign in the KB, but I didn't spend a lot of time in
there. Try that and then better run by support@ipswitch.
