WOOW Len it worked ,
aw shucks, it wasn't rocket science. If you run Imail, you learn how/when to stop/start SMTP services.
Disable SMTP AUTH reporting not checked ,
what do you have checked for smtp security:relayoptions?
I don't understand what was the problem.
Netscape seems to do something that Imail doesn't like when Netscape does SMTP AUTH, so Imail stops SMTP AUTH service, but just for netscape, and other mail programs keep SMTP AUTHing just fine. stop/start SMTP allows netscape to SMTP AUTH again.
I have a script that the checks for SMTP AUTH lack of response and sends a msg to a program alieas to stop/start SMTP, but I doubt my script would work since it would have to detect SMTP AUTH failures for netscape only. I have no idea how to do that.
