After racking my brain I decided to bring up an old single proxy. Comparing
the settings, their wasn't any, ant that one worked. The difference of the
2 proxies is that the new one belongs to a array of 4 machines with a 12G
cache. I removed one setting, 'check cache of array before going upstream',
it started to work immediately after that one change

Daniel,

Only a guess, but what about allowing the 'in' for these ports. Clients need
to send commands and data to the service, before the service can answer
them.

Proxies can also 'modify' the data stream. This could mean that in IMail Web
Messaging, you may need to set the 'Ignore source Address' and stop/start
the Web service, so that IMail will not disconnect when it sees the IP of
the remote, changing between requests.
