Notes clients should be able to us Imail. I had a few customer using Notes
server/clients.

Installing a notes client gives you option of creating a setup to use any
POP3/SMTP
server.

Installing a notes server is however someting different. A number of config
documents
must be set correct. (should be using ETRN here)

look at www.notes.net should be able to find the setup routines here

could be. :)

Notes is one of those groupware apps that MS is trying to kill with
Exchange. Notes is its own mail server, just like Exchange. Since he has
his own permanent connection and mail server, I imagine you are about to
lose a mail hosting customer, if he understand what Notes is.

I doan know no Notes, sorry, other than the fact that I rilly, rilly hate
its forum software that I encounter at the www.MapInfo.com support forum.

aren't we all!!! vbg

April, put it down and go on to bigger and better clients. :))

A few ideas:

1. If you had an SMTP AV scanner, you could still be his MX, clean his
mail, and forward to him.

2. If you had IMGate, you could still be his MX, and offer him anti-relay,
anti-spam for inbound, and for outbound: mail relaying services.

These latter 2 ideas exclude IMail completely.

3. If he wants you to remain his mailbox server, then quote him for setting
up Imail to work with his Notes.
