Something is definitely wrong here.

At least 2 of the log file lines you showed us this time have characters missing from
them. And so does the original one where slyon tries to send his mail.

You need to first analyze the log file and find at least a couple dozen of these
instances of missing characters. See if ANY of them occur in the time/date stamp or
"SMTP" or the ID number (IE, in the 08:28 12:12 SMTP-(000000F3) section). If any do,
there's probably some sort of a problem writing the data to the disk.

If it never occurs in that section, there is some sort of communications issue, as
that would indicate that only incoming/outgoing data was having this problem.
However, since the original example showed a corrupted "FROM:" address, but the remote
SMTP server showed the correct address, I would suspect that the data is not getting
corrupted.

Are you running any unusual programs on the IMail server, that might run with
"realtime" priority (the task manager can show this), or that would use too many
interrupts (an old modem, perhaps)?
