I've used VBScript to create a domain, convert it to using an external
databse, add a default user, changed the aliases so they point to the
default user and add in the nobody alias. Then another process on another
server runs a minute later to sent an e-mail to the account automatically
creating the user folders and necessary files.
It works quite well. It is activated by sending an e-mail with a password to
the server. The e-mail is sent from within the internal network so it never
travels outside.
