Kirk,

You can do this (I'm assuming you have only one IP), but you _MUST_ also
make a HOSTS file entry, for IMail to work correctly. (see manual and KB, if
you need more info on this!)

And:

No need to 'remove' the incorrect entry. If one just 'renames' the entry
(the Official Host Name), you can change the name of any domain. IMail
should ask 'are you creating a new domain' and you should answer 'No'. If
you are then asked (and you should, if only one IP) 'Are you renaming the
Primary domain?' then you would answer, Yes, and all would be well!

If you see a '$virtualxxx' domain, then I would suggest that one be
'removed' (but don't until you have checked everything, see below).

As for IMail Client seeing the domain and IAdmin, not, that could mean that
the registry info for IMail, is not quite right. There are a couple of KB
articles (see the one on 'changing from an IP-less domain to one IP based
[or something like this!]) that tell you more about how IMail stores the
stuff in the registry. Or if you save (Registry, Export) that portion of the
registry (h_keyLM/software/ipswitch/imail/domains) and send it to the forum
(or support!), then we (or they) can look at it and 'fix' it. Of course, if
you do the 'rename' as I said, (and it works OK) the registry should be
right and then you can just remove the unneeded '$virtuyalXXX' domain).

PS - As long as the domains do not have the 'same' alias (and/or OHN!),
IMail will treat them as separate (Which they were when I checked!).
