We've got SQL Server 7.0 on another machine, and had intermittent password error
too.
I don't know how can we solve it.

correction here:
The technician did not recommend thinking about SQL Server. It was my
interpretation. He did say I should consider moving the Access Database off
to another server to free up resources.
