I'd really like to go to SQL server here, but these kinds of 
unresolvable SQL - AUTH pbs really make me hesitate to make the chain 
to the mail accounts longer.  It's quite bad enough the SMTP AUTH 
isn't perfectly reliable against just the Imail internal database 
yet.  I don't have any pb's there, but I sure don't want to introduce any.

Giving away mail accounts to the general public is "get what you pay 
for" but selling mail hosting to companies is also "get what you pay 
for" and mail login failures drive people up a wall.  It's worse than 
dial-up "busy signal", because they can see blatantly that it's your 
system is failing.  Customer confidence and good will are as volatile 
as they precious.
