I have been having this problem for a few weeks now. I know who this guy is,
he's a hosting customer.
I am assuming that the only way this can happen is if he is sending mail
TO [EMAIL PROTECTED]
FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED]
thru our mail server.
We are getting a log of 20 mb a day from this one guy. It just keeps going
(like that little battery rabbit...what ever his name is)
10:28 14:08 SMTPD(0846009E) [140.247.165.200] MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
10:28 14:08 SMTPD(0846009E) [140.247.165.200] RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
10:28 14:08 SMTPD(0846009E) [140.247.165.200] ERR www.lookwww.com invalid
user <[EMAIL PROTECTED]
d-21.net is not a domain on our mail server hence, the bounce.
I just want to make sure that I am correct in my analysis that this can only
happen if [EMAIL PROTECTED]
is sending mail from himself to himself through our mail server?
I have found, in his code that this was the case. I removed all the code
that referenced this. I am 99.999% certain that ther e is no more code on
our server that is doing this. I do know that a few of his POP accounts that
are domains on our server are being forwarded to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This
can't do the above can it?
