I don't understand the attractiveness of offering blanket,
unrestricted free e-mail accounts. Surely the overhead in
preventing spammers and answering complaints would make it a
losing proposition. Let the Hotmails and Yahoos deal with it. If
you use SMTP-AUTH with Outlook, and verify the user before
allowing them access, then you should cut down on the abuse,
though you'll never end it.
