I had this problem previously, the issue for me was Imail could not write to
the mailbox file. It was locked for some reason. As soon as it is unlocked,
Imail corrects any problems because it creates a temp mailbox file. Starting
and stopping the services helped once (POP and SMTP), but not always. Other
times I just moved the old mailbox and renamed the temp file to the main
mailbox file. (You might have to stop the services to move the file)

Good Luck.

Craig Gittens.
