If this is always the last entry before the web services go down, it would sound like
there may be a problem with authentication.

I'd say that is likely your problem. If something with the ODBC connector crashes,
it's going to bring down whatever called in (in this case, web messaging). Maybe
someone here who is more familiar with ODBC and/or Oracle could give a better idea of
what may be going wrong.
