It definitely makes working from the admin console a big pain. We set up
many customers with forwarding from the "root" account and even this default
user does not have it directory setup (on a new host without any additional
users even the "users" directory isn't created.
We are now forced to add a host in the admin then switch out to create two
directories
and then switch back to the admin to set up the forwarding.
THIS WAS NEVER THE CASE IN OLDER VERSIONS (ie: 4.0x) were the forwarding
info would
be stored without leaving the admin. When things like this "break" from
older versions
I consider them BUGS and not inconveniences as it was described by Ipswitch
to me.
I HOPE this is something that is fixed in future 6.x or 7.x versions.

It's a common problem. The directories for an account get created the first
time they receive a message. Most folks send a welcome message as soon as
they add a user to get it done immediately.

Is there a limit to the number of accounts that can be forwarded?
I spent the day going through my server forwarding all of the accounts that
need it.
A bunch of them won't keep the forwarding address. From the admin I put in
the address and hit Apply. Go to a different account then come back and
there's nothing there.
Do I have to wait for the account to receive mail first? If so... doesn't
that sort of waste a lot of time?
