It will prevent them from directly using your SMTP at all! True, it might
not stop them from relaying via another server, to your users. But if they
use another SMTP server, that, too, could be blocked (it is an open relay,
most likely). Also, note that I believe the rule suggested would work, too.
BTW, the original email stated that the address in question was 'connected'
and I believed that to mean it was the one connecting to the SMTP service.
So I think my answer was valid. Not that your information was incorrect,
just not applying in this situation.
