anyone who asks, receives if i've got it. if i don't, i wait with you for
those who do.
i don't remember ascii, or even being on topic, as requirements to belonging
to the list. the only thing i saw was no abuse and no spam...
my post trying to get off orbs is html mail citing the TOS for the list at
the bottom. because it was html, guess you ignored it or were too busy that
day. can't catch everything, can we?
i don't want to annoy, i do want to provoke the kind of thinking that keeps
us out of standards based 'holy wars'. all methodologies stink. thank God
they do, or i'd be flipping burgers, not bits.
if i use html, it's because it's my default setting, and in the heat of
doing all else i do, (i dont' just post to lists....) sometimes i'm heavy
handed and careless. i need to consider that not everybody who reads this
can configure their email the way they want it at either the server or
workstation, not because of ability, but design or other constraint. my
apologies, i thought that html was ok for the list. most people do filter
me, makes it easier for them and me. Thank God for the delete key and the
filter.
on a 56k, i guess all the verbiage and overhead could be tedious. i do lots
of other things while waiting for a process to run. can't watch that
hourglass: it'll burn you out. you can set your client to read me as you
wish, in the form that you wish. also, if you are allowed by your
administrator you can use web based mail in imail. i allow my users
internally and externally to use web mail. webmail does html ok, i guess
with the overhead going in and out 80, 8080 and others. dont' know if 8383
is canonical for imail, i'll ask around here at the shop.

The font you are using is very hard to read. I would appreciate it if you
would use plain text when sending to the list. If no one else agrees or you
just won't change I'll start filtering out messages from you so the problem
will be solved for me. So, don't bother yelling at me about your right to
use whatever font you want etc. I'd rather not block any mail from the
list, but if no one else objects I'll filter and every one will be happy.
